The thickness is determined under a specified pressures acting on the sample being measured. This Thickness Gauge consists of a rigid cast aluminum base and arm on which a dial indicator is held firmly. The dial indicator has a flat circular pressure foot, which exerts a specified pressure on the specimen kept on an anvil.
